Where to park w/ car during the ride?
There is plenty of weekend parking available near the start. Check this map link for the best spots to park. You may drop off your bags at Shiloh and then park the car and return to register if that is easiest for you.
Who will be leading the ride?
Whoever wants to be the first person to leave registration will be the leader! It's all on the Katy Trail, so as long as you stay on the trail you will find yourself in Boonville! We are expecting over 1,000 participants, so everyone should have someone new to ride with. It's such a relaxed-pace ride that it will be hard to be left in the back!
What items do I need for the ride & during the night?
Items needed for the ride: I would recommend bringing cash (since most small towns and vendors on the trail don't take credit!), water, sunscreen, snacks, and whatever else might come in handy for a day of riding and relaxing. For night time, bring a tent, sleeping bag, and change of clothes.
Is it happening rain or shine?
Rain or shine, the show will go on!
Are camp fires allowed at Kemper Park?
No campfires will be allowed at Kemper Park.
Where will we be camping at Kemper Park?
Camping will be available on the grass soccer fields and surrounding areas. PLEASE NO FIRES. If you are looking for more remote camping with firepits, check out the Katy Roundhouse in Franklin about 5 miles from Kemper.
Are showers available at Kemper Park?
The Boonville YMCA is located next to the festival/camping area. Facility open on Saturday, May 26. The pool is open until 4:30 pm - Showers available until 10:00 pm. Individual shower cost is $2 and towels are not provide. YMCA closed on Sunday, May 27.
Are there cycling jerseys available for purchase for this year's ride?
We won't be selling cycling jersys this year. We hope to bring them back to the event next year.
Where can I purchase food/beverages on the bike ride?
There will be food and beverage vendors at Katfish Katy's in Huntsdale, The General Store and the Missouri River Communities Network food and beer tent in Rocheport, The Katy Roundhouse in Franklin, multiple restaurants in Boonville, and plenty of food and beverage vendors at Kemper Park. Please bring cash for vendors on the trail!
How many bags can I bring on the transport service?
We kindly request that you limit the number of bags that you bring on the event. Coolers and large tents are allowed but please don't exhaust our transport crew by bringing overly large and heavy items.
I am staying at a Hotel and would like to have my geared dropped off at a Boonville location. Can I have my bags dropped off for me?
Yes, you can choose on the registration form or day of the event to add a baggage drop off service. At check in you will be given special luggage tags and instructions on how to have your bags specificially dropped off at select locations. This service can be added or subtracted the morning of the event as needed. Check back on this service as we are finalizing the gear drop plan.
Will there be a sag service in case we can't complete the bike ride to Boonville?
We will have an emergency transport service for riders unable to complete the daily ride. Sag support includes
water,
flat tire repair, shirtless young men. The transport vehicle can be found Saturday, May 26th, at the Hindman Junction 10 am;
Katfish Katy’s 11am;
Rocheport 12pm;
Grain Silo 1 pm; Franklin 2pm;
Boonville 3pm. On Sunday the schedule will be this in reverse!
Is there any camping available in Columbia for the night before/after the ride?
Unfortunately, there isn't camping near the starting location of the ride. There is camping about 10 miles from the starting area at Finger Lakes State Park, or at Katfish Katy's in Huntsdale, or Cooper's Landing.
